Caught on camera

-- -- -- --

At Ventanas in Playa Grande we believe a truly fulfilling lifestyle comes from integrating harmoniously with our surroundings rather than dominating them. By committing to a master plan that keeps 70% of the total area free of construction, we ensure the continuity of a vital biological corridor within one of the most beautiful ecosystems on the planet: the Guanacaste dry tropical forest. Here, your home doesn't just border nature — it becomes part of it.

A Window into the Hidden Forest Active biological monitoring since 2021

Since 2021 our community has run a continuous biological monitoring initiative. Through a strategic network of camera traps we have recorded over 14,000 high-definition videos of local wildlife in its most natural and spontaneous state. To share this biodiversity, the interactive feed above classifies each identified species automatically.

The regular presence of majestic felines such as ocelots and jaguarundis shows that we are part of a balanced and actively protected ecosystem. White-tailed deer, coatis, howler monkeys and armadillos roam our trails daily — a reminder that this haven is a shared home.

Ventanas Wildlife Project

Every camera trap is placed along the ecological corridors that the master plan protects. The footage tells us which species use which ridge, at what time of year, and how the corridors are performing — information that feeds straight back into how the condominium is planned.
